A little bit about us
The Retreat Coffee Shop & Bistro is based in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National park in the quaint and beautiful village of Grassington, North Yorkshire.
Run by ourselves, Rick and Adele, we are very passionate about what we do. We get very excited about fruity, zingy coffee and offering honest food with good service, that suits all diets and requirements. Our Afternoon Teas are served 7 days per week from 2.30pm ( Pre-booking essential)
We serve a variety of freshly prepared dishes, tempting cakes and homemade puddings.
We try to tweak recipes and menus to cater for all, including Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten Free and Dairy Free diets.
We are very proud of our coffee, which is supplied and roasted by Darkwoods coffee roasters, based in Yorkshire. Our Coffee has won several awards at the "Great Taste Awards" and we are very proud to be able to offer this to all of our customers.
All our Baristas have on-going training to help build their knowledge and experience. This is our way of ensuring a consistently high level of quality, each and every day.
Our coffee shop is open 7 days a week and offers a variety of dishes from main meals, light bites, Cream teas, Afternoon Teas and yummy homemade Cakes.
Adele makes the cakes , bakes and scones with the help of her kitchen team, and can often be found introducing new recipes and cakes into the tearoom.
Rick is our head Barista, spending a lot of time on coffee courses and watching 'good old' youtube videos. He makes the most delicious coffee and is always trying to tweak the flavours and learn more about the coffee roasting process. He is keen for customers to understand coffee a little more and coming from a non-coffee background himself he completely understands customers confusion over the different names and offerings. So if you have any questions or want any coffee questions answered, he would be more than willing to help. 'No question is a stupid question'!

Our Evening Bistro is open Friday and Saturday evenings on the last weekend of each month from June - September - and is run by head chef Paul Salonga alongside Rick & Adele.
Our aim for the Bistro is to offer somewhere welcoming and informal, serving honest food with care and love. Wear whatever you want, boots and 'well behaved' dogs also welcome. There are no geographical boundaries to the influences that have inspired our Bistro menu; they are a culmination of our extensive travels.
We offer a varied menu of differing flavours and styles that will tempt and suit all tastebuds, including a Vegan menu and many gluten free and dairy free options. We have an extensive wine list and several local ales to compliment all the dishes served.
Our wine is supplied by Wrights Wines of Skipton.
